WAO Academic Marathon

Welcome to the Academic Marathon Track of the World Academic Olympics (WAO)!

It's an immersive and transformative experience designed to unlock the full potential of students through rigorous and stimulating challenges.

History

The Academic Marathon  was an independent international competition established in 2019. For four consecutive years, it has been held globally, attracting a total of 16,652 outstanding students from 29 countries and regions.

This prestigious competition has now been integrated into the WAO, becoming one of its distinguished tracks. This merger enhances the competitive landscape of WAO, offering students a more diverse and challenging experience.

A Testament to Perseverance

Much like the Marathon Running Race, which embodies endurance and determination, the Academic Marathon fosters a spirit of continuous pursuit of knowledge and personal growth. We elevate the academic journey, pushing the boundaries of traditional learning to an exhilarating new summit.

Beyond the Finish Line

Our focus transcends the competition itself. While the championship is a pinnacle moment, the Academic Marathon is fundamentally about expanding the horizons of academic exploration. We are dedicated to pushing students to surpass their perceived limits and to delve into the uncharted territories of their intellectual capabilities.

A Celebration of Potential

In the Academic Marathon, every participant is encouraged to not just compete but to explore, to learn, and to emerge with a deeper understanding of their own potential. It's an arena where the spirit of inquiry meets the thrill of discovery, and where every student can shine.

The One-Way Exam aims to enhance the competitive experience, building on the foundation of past exams. It is characterized primarily by two features: Single-Direction Progress and Real-Time Scoring.

Single-Direction Progress

Students must adhere to a predetermined sequence for answering questions, with no option to skip or revisit previously answered questions for modifications.

Real-Time Scoring

Upon submitting an answer, it is instantly evaluated for correctness, and the score is recorded. Correct responses contribute to the score, while incorrect ones result in corresponding deductions.
